Everyone knows - I love Baja California. I have traveled the world and when I am away, I am always missing Baja.
I have been riding motorcycles in Baja for the past 30 years and I have been a Tour Guide in Baja for Chris Haines Baja Adventure Tours for about 15 years. I can say with confidence, I know Baja pretty well.

My girlfriend Orsi and I were planning to ride my BMW GS1200 (the bike I rode around the world from 2012 to 2017) to Baja in the second half of October.

With the growing popularity of big adventure bikes, Chris Haines Baja Adventure Tours has now added a fleet of Honda CRF1000 Africa Twins to the arsenal of motorcycles at his shop.
Chris Haines asked if I wanted to test one of his new Africa Twins, scope out some fun routes and come up with an ideal tour itinerary for the Adventure Bike Tours. Naturally, we jumped at the opportunity.

They are some sort of Pirelli tires. They were amazing in the loose stuff and sucked on paved roads. We will be changing to a more 50/50 tread design as these Adventure Bike tours will be mostly on pavement with some dirt thrown in to make sure they are an adventure.

Rented an AT in Vegas for a trip around SW Utah. Loved the bike. A bit underpowered for the road, and the knobbies were unsettling when on the interstate at 80+. Looking forward to following your travels.

Great RR of FB. We're supposed to be riding to San Felipe this holiday weekend but it got postponed. I'd love to see your gps tracks to/from some of the great places you took pictures at. Spectacular!
