That looks like a fantastic day out. You'll remember this one for quite sometime I am guessing.
We have momentary wifi so a jock check in to say we’re alive, it’s quite rainy we rode up a volcano this am!! Hekla didn’t go off on us even though it’s 10 yers over due!

Again and again and again!
Big tough day on the highlands in less than perfect conditions that I found quite tough. Light rain/drizzle that blocked your visor and glasses making it hard to read the surface. I bounced from baby head rocks to pot holes via the odd soft spot! My new front rim isn’t new any more!!
Dramatic lava fields and temp in the 37-40 F 2-3 C range ... not too many pics as I was happy trying to stay alive!

Remind your wife that there is no insurance cover when crossing rivers in Iceland!!
We’re travelling with group organised by Explore 360. Don’t normally join group tours but wanted to get into highlands which meant multiple river crossings. Glad we had 10 sets of hands to help for some of them!

We’re blessed to have Lal Pavey (Simon’s son) riding with us. A delightful man, super talented rider and instructor, and he’s making a movie of the trip! This is him summiting Hekla Volcano!
A so called “rest day” saw us spend the morning doing calls home and catching up on admin in good wifi before we set out to be tourists!

Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall was incredible ...
We were like a Klim advert here! Waterproofing was needed!!
But I preferred it’s smaller cousin, Selfloss ...
