The 30,000 mile top end / con rod check / replace only applies to the HP2 Sport. The MM is pretty standard 1200 hex head with no special service requirements over the normal R, GS, RT models.

I think you may be referring to the HP2 Sport. The Megamoto and Enduro are basically the same as any other hexhead of the same era.
    Doh! Rerun.

The big difference between the Megamoto and Enduro engines is that BMW removed the balance shaft from the Enduro, but put it back in for the Megamoto.

Yeah, interesting that BMW did that. I wonder why? I’ve owned both, and I really couldn’t tell much difference in vibration between the two.

Change the oil when it needs it, clean the air filter every 2500 miles, check the valves every 6000, wash rinse repeat IMG_20190412_170953685.jpg

Has anyone tried the AF-XIED on a Megamoto?

If so, did you notice any change to the cyclic vibration in the intermediate gears at light throttle?

There is something up with those wheels, it looks like they were sandblasted to look matte and the hub screws are rusty. I had a pair and they were just as glossy as the rest of the carbon bits on that bike. That price is pretty ridiculous too for a basically stock bike except for the suspect wheels and a few farkles. I sold a totally tricked out Big Bore HP2S for the same price.

    Hi Friends!

I’m on the lookout for a full Ti Akrapovic HP2 header & muffler. I believe it was called ‘Evolution.’

Let me know if you’ve got one available!

    Thank you
