Where are you from Veteran1 ?
Oh my! that's totally bulsjit! It's these little (big) things that KTM need to pay some attention to! their bikes are crazy fun, but please don't fark us around when you haven't done all your homework!? I'll wait a bit before I approach my dealer to have my right fork refurbished.... and I hope they have their shit sorted by then.....
(and YES, I know there will be some guys that say one should suck it up....... I'm not)
Having to trailer mine to the dealer 30 miles away suddenly does not seem so terrible...

Reference of the KTM 1290 Adv ?
Is remove and put or ?
I haven't picked my MY 2015 bike up yet but I'll be insisting they check to see if there's a right fork issue before I sign everything and ink the deal, otherwise I'll be asking for the same deal on a 2016 with rectified forks. I don't think anyone would say "suck it up" on a $20K flagship bike.
The 2016 1290SA should be OK. Apparently about 30% of the 2015s have the clunk issue. I put about 500 miles on it in Southern CO today and I am a happy camper about the suspension fix. The fuel gauge stuck on every tank today.
I think 100%.
But I also think that not all users KTM 1290 Super Adventure Motorcycle read forums to speak and also I think many users of KTM 1290 Super Adventure 2015
they think their bike is good although have that feeling to loose direction.
I don't have any noise from my front suspension, so no, not 100% and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
You know the date of manufacture of your motobike?
Nor the feeling to loose direction when passing very slow by a speed bump ???
I have driven 3 KTM 1290 SAdv and the 3 equal.
Your motorbike is 2015 or 2016 ?
In de VIN number the word F is 2015 and the word G is 2016.
The mine of July and the other 2 are June and July 2015.
I, too, had a hard time believing that they did not all CLUNK. I've never ridden any other 1290SA, but mine was so bad that it seemed impossible that some were OK.
Seeing that one in four of those who answered the poll above insisted they had no problem made me believe there were some good ones. Since people with issues are much more likely to go online and answer polls, I think the one in four "good" result is very pessimistic. Hence my willingness to believe that over half of the 2015 bikes are OK.
I agree. The local shop tested my bike and, guess what, they don't think there is anything wrong with the forks. How can you argue with that? I think this is total BS, KTM should own up to their short comings and issue a recall. After all, this a 21K bike.
Well...$16.5K if you waited until now to get a '15.
then, IMO, it's scandalous that dealers are telling those with the CLUNK that it's normal
Scandalous and of very bad professionals.
The price of factory of the cartridge think not more than 50 €.
For the price of a 1290 KTM Super Adventure can repair 400 motobikes approximately.
They prefer bad publicity to future clients of KTM instead of fixing and everybody happy.
I do not get it.
I think they're not being intelligent the customer service ktm.
where did you find this low price?
here in Europe the item 48SAF1P26R (complete right cartridge) costs 307euro
I mean manufacturing price for KTM.
No sale price to the public. To the public 300 €.
I wanted to clarify that I now NEVER FEEL any of the suspension adjustments that I know are still happening. The suspension is totally smooth, and the "nervous horse" is completely gone. The change is amazing.
I go over 10 big speed bumps every day and even on those - in comfort & single rider mode - I never feel any adjustments.
