As @SoilSampleDave said it is a bit of a procedure to get the parts to align.

Send a message to support at aurora-rally dot com and Costas will be able to assist with photos and videos if need be. There are so many adjustments on the tower that it's tough to say from the pics. The general idea, as it is reported in the video is to leave the bolts on the tower loose then see the positions and then tighten. A couple of millimeters difference in the head will make a big difference at the end of the tower.

How many people with a US spec 890 have installed the Aurora Fairing?

I think the US spec bike might have different headlight programming that affects the CanBus and the HLU code.

US spec bikes do not have an option in the menu that allows you to configure the DRL lights and avoid the HLU error code.

Trying to see if it's just me with the HLU code issue or a US spec bike issue.

There is no difference in the CANbus or in the software code.

I don't have an Aurora fairing, but my US 890R that I picked up two weeks ago has the option to turn the DRL on/off

Maybe the option does not show up unless the oem light is connected?

    CANbus update.

After researching into it, it get a bit more complicated. Seems that we are getting erratic errors on the 890 platform. Some bikes produce an error and some not, so we go back to the drawing board to design a new CANbus controller just for the 890 (the joy of being in this business, OEMs keep you on your toes... :p ).
We are looking for an 890 headlight unit to fly somewhere across the States to develop the new unit. All customers (even if they do not have any issues) will get new controllers and we will get the old ones back.

One of my many concerns with the extra electronics of the Euro5 regs the 890 was designed around. I wonder if we will find some new obstacles with the performance goodies we like to add.

    :rofl:rofl

Congrats guys, it's really nice to see them around, having designed everything from scratch on that bike, with the community response resulting in changes, improvements etc. makes me feel really proud of the end result. :nod:beer

please can someone send me or upload more photos of Aurora Rally kit installed on 890 Rally if you have? @640 Armageddon ? I need to choose the color of the tower details and the backplate. Or your recommendation of what really looks best? The side panels are selected - they will be white. Thanks a lot

Can’t help you there, but agree white side panels are the way to go. Didn’t realize Aurora had moved into letting the customer pick the colors of the tower. We are facing a regular tyranny of choice now. The original default of orange side and white backplate seems pretty cool to me.

Also, this isn’t the best picture, but apparently some cretins snuck into my garage one night and stole my R suspension and left this 270mm Pro suspension in its place. You can imagine my horror. Anyway, I had to remove the low fender setup from the the Standard model I had been running for its quietness. The fork guards were just way too short. So my question is, can someone measure a Rally fork guard to see if they are any taller than an R fork guard? The coverage looks pretty good with the R guards, but ideally I’d think a slightly taller guard would be better. But in pictures, it’s hard to tell if the Rally guards are any taller or not. Thanks!
PS. Bastards stole one of my rotors too!
