As I was reading your post Mrs. Redfish waddled in with a freshly opened bottle of Dixie Beer. She handed it to me with a smile and said she thought I might be thirsty. For that brief moment she looked beautiful and sweet.

So yeah. If beer can do that, there is really nothing it can't do.

Unless I'm fixing something that involves 2 or 3 trips to the hardware store for something I forgot or broke..
Then this is the soundtrack of my life..

I like the hearing tree analogy..
you can only swing on a branch, adding more weight, for so long before it breaks and dumps you on your ass..

The Benny Hill show was the best. I was the youngest so I had zero control of the tv but my brother would alway put BH on and then The Young Ones would come after that. I thought for years that's what England was like. I really wanted to live there.

A friend in HS had one similar in 71 or 72 if memory serves. It was like $1000 and that was real money then. My brand new 1971 Yamaha 125 cost $435 and came with a helmet. No printer. The reverse polish still freaks me out but I think they still make them like that.

What’s weird is that all day, everyday we play tunes in the shop using Pandora and Spotify but we also have a rather noisy air conditioning unit going. When I come in at night and the music isn’t playing the AC unit sounds like music and I can often hear a specific song... prolly shouldn’t have shared that, sounds weird. I also have a 3500hz tone that plays in my head continuously, in stereo at very slight variation in pitch.

The day I bought the DR, I hauled it home in a trailer and set the petcock on pri. I thought that must be the off position, since the other two were on and reserve.

By the time I got home, half the tank had drained thru the carb into the crank case. Expensive lesson learned. Never again. Pretty quick I put an IMS tank on and said goodbye to that stock petcock.

I remember my first computer was $800. 8088 processor IIRC, 20M hard drive and two 5 1/4" floppy drives. I have not payed that much for any computer since. :D But I have payed that much for a few phones. :hmmmmmOf course they have much more power.

Most of the calculator apps you get on your phones have an RPN setting and that is what I use lol.

It’s coming our way! I’ll have to escape the “chill” by leaving for Moab this coming week.

View attachment 1854117 @cogitech glad you enjoyed it. Just a quick rip, but it is a good spot. Weather looks great at home, I went down to Kaslo this weekend, is a bit damper and cooler for sure. I woke up above them this morning but it’s cloudy down by the lake.
