Ah, good to be back on a proper traveler’s diet. EE6B88C7-7A29-4196-A7CC-3C0E670C166E.jpeg I really didn’t think I would take to camping as much as I have. It’s a nice change. And if you like falling asleep to Dark Side of The Moon, a tent is not a bad place to do it. 535953FE-0EAD-4961-A94C-C3F9F6F5B769.jpeg But then morning comes and you gotta get up off the ground. Sometimes that takes a bit of effort. DF94BB66-56F1-4331-8C0D-9C4EDD476685.jpeg

I took a tent, sleeping bag and sleeping pad with me on my trip to South America. I never used the tent. Sleeping bag came in handy many times and the sleeping pad was used occasionally when the bed was rock hard. Camping does get you into some very beautiful areas to wake up in not to mention the money you save.
Main reason I carried the tent was in case the bike decided not to cooperate in the middle of bumfuk Egypt. It was nice knowing I could at least get out of the weather for the night and deal with the problem the next day.
I hear you when you say you had to "get up off the ground".

The clams are tiny but the shrimp look great. I missed our Oyster Roast last night, broken wrist kept me home, Mom went.

Look for the Southern Cross, I think you can see it this time of year.

Great photos, George. That beer tap is a winner.

OK George, I've caught up on your latest posts. Glad you're back on the road on that loaner, keep it between the ditches. It's been almost 2 weeks since my fall, and I'm getting along as good as can be expected. The worst part about my hurts is the month and a half it has probably added to my nose recovery. We'll keep you posted. Don't worry about me, Mom (Nurse Ratchet) keeps me going.

Sucks about your issue with BMW. I really have enjoyed reading your RR - hope you get that beast back on the road soon. Safe travels !

First a Monday, then Tuesday now I’m told it will be ready today (Thursday) at 3pm but I won’t hold my breath.

I’ll have to get the bike back here and load it so ETA for departure is probably 5pm. It’s daylight til almost 9pm so maybe I can get down to a campground on Lago Rapel.

"Si, but senor .......... tranquillo". I'd be inclined for a straight across trade of current existential state. I'll stand in for you and you can sit here and make sure my TPS reports get to Lumbergh on time. :lol3 Hope you get squared away on back on the journey.
