Enjoying the GCR? Calling @OldDog to the stage...
It's only going to happen more and more with good and bad aspects depending on your view. Australia is becoming crowded.
I don't see the problem.
That’s a bit unfair
Yer, mostly near the major cities. Still not many in the Simpson Desert yet.
There'll still be the Gunbarrel if you're looking for adventure.
And the Trans line.
Mmmm i loved that "road" so much i gave it a big, big hug. That's my story.......
Have you been there in the season? lotsa people especially near the beginning or end depending which way you go and whether the bloody big bash is on. The Tanami, pulled into the bush to camp, started to have a slash , turned around and there's people coming out of the bush. I'm tellin you there's people fuckin everywhere now. In fact last time I was at Dalhousie there was nowhere to park there were that many 4wd, bikes and people.
Yes it's a great shortcut.
Also exquisitely boring with it. An endless, joyless gravel road, might as well cover it with bitumen......
Well, you can always mix it up a bit, do it on a pushie !
