Xray show it has left my system!
Forearmed is forewarned. Time for springcleaning.
Multiple careers has given me a couple of brain farts over the years but I was kinda proud of this one.
These are swivel clamps that are used on stage for mic and light setups. Not sure where I got them but I think they're googleable . (?)
Which I use to clamp two 1-1/2" diameter emt electrical conduit with swaged ends to my struts.
So I have a ten foot tarp pole and I can unpack and set up the tent under shelter. And with the club chair, after dining, I can retire to the library for brandy and cigars.
Maintaining my normal anti-social distance.
FR 2870 between Dungeness Forks and Slab Camp road. Didn't see no panzers...
And little bits of green stuff growing right outta the ground!
Anit-Social Distance. Good one!
Lovely ride too!
This cabin fever b.s. is getting old. So I fiddled with my web site. Easier to get at pics.
Great stuff on your site! Thanks for sharing that. Love the metal work! I was a former "gasoline" engine machinist and loved being in a top of the line machine shop. Cheers!
I didn't realize you had a website. I have now saved it.
I didn't know it either. I was just using smugmug to store pictures but it's pretty easy to make it into a site. It's either that or mechanical excess.
Very cool. I use Smugmug too, I'll have to check into that function.
When you log in to your account there's a bar at the top that says "organize" then under that "create" and you are given a choice of gallery, folder, or web page. and they have editing tools for menus and backgrounds. And I am eagerly awaiting your bin of pictures!
Beautiful metal work you have there.
Thanks, I never notice the web page selection. My pictures aren't posted in a very good order on Smugmug so it will be interesting to see what I end up with.
That was my problem too. No real logic to where I stashed which picture. The menus are just links so some order returns, at least on the page. Also it might be that I paid for the next step up so I could use metalcarver.com that I registered about 15 years ago.
So now on to the next cabin fever project.. wonder if I can fit a v6 into the ural... hm.
Great stuff Metalman... look forward to your posts.
Good stuff Metalcarver! I need to educate myself on organizing my photos and or make them searchable like a database. The galleries are by date mostly which doesn't mean a thing to any visitor. I went to the site and looked at most everything. Metalwork, guitars etc all superlative work, but I can see some time sink looking at the GB image atlas. Thanks for sharing all of this. Dave
I'm worried about moving my pictures around and breaking the links I have in my ride reports and ruining them. It would be nice to have a better organization though.
Finally somebody is looking at it. Look at the stretch between LaPine and Alturas, something like 273 miles between gas stations. Same with the leg from Jarbidge to McDermitt.
Will do MC! I'll set aside some time for study each day and bundle my questions to pose here for each region. dd
You mean editing for errors? You're older than dirt so you prollly saw it all before. I know where PT is in relation to where I ride and I keep getting that feeling, you know, like one time in Alaska it was really quiet and all the hair on my dog's back stood on end. You get all squinty eyed and looking around but nothing...
