    Yeah, I could see that it still has a ways to go. Bracing, mounting tabs plus other odds and ends related to getting everything attached. It would still be interesting to see how it compares to a stock sporty frame. Less the swing arms of both. That's if you are going to put a different type/style on it of course.
    Watching the building a frame from the ground up is intriguing and a good learning experience. :lurk

    Just ordered the aluminum stock to make the top hat reducer sleeves to run a three quarter axle on the KTM forks

    Nothing major, I just had to cut the gas filler out to remove the bottom of the tank

    2.75x18 rear with 140/80-18 TKC80 and 2.15x19 front with 100/90-19 TKC80
    on harley hubs, buchanan heavy duty stainless spokes and Sun rims

    Alright! My axle spacer reducer material came today. First off was to center the wheel then I got to work making the top hat reducers. The reducers are the same o.d.as the KTM axle and the inside diameter is .75", same as the Harley axle.
    I just need to trim the ends down to a .25" off the slider and they will be finished. After that an axle the correct length and start on my 4 piston R6 caliper mount.

    Well I got my rotor mounted up to the front wheel only to find out that my front caliper I was going to run fouls on the spokes. Looks like I will have to procure a late-model Harley 4 piston caliper that should clear the spokes.

    Received the caliper that I'm going to use. It's a little heavier than I wanted to use but I was able to make it clear and that's more important right now. I had an idea of how to mock up the caliper and it worked fantastically. I just used wire taped to the rotor to space off the caliper and then used clear lexan to locate all the holes necessary.

    It will be interesting to see the frame works out. You did say that you were looking into away lower the swing arm mount and that got me thinking about a frame that friend of mine has and how the swing is mounted in his frame. Now it's not stock frame, but I thought that the pictures might give you some ideas.

    Just a little history about that frame. If you know or remember who Mert Lawill is. He designed some of these frames for his own personal XR 750 race bikes. This example is one of his lite weight frames. At this point you don't see many of them round. My friend got this one a couple of weeks ago. He has one other and its on his bike that he raced back in the 1970's.
