Glad you are healing and started building again. I followed most of your builds on Chop Cult and was happy to see the feature on one of your old bikes in The Horse.

Any updates on how the project is coming along? Looks like it would be a fun ride when it's done.:thumb

Yes I've been finding time between work and the kids to do more work on it. Like I said earlier I farmed out the swingarm build to a friend. This is made out of .25" wall 1.25" chro-moly tubing from scratch. It came out perfect. It only weighs one pound more than the stock swingarm. I also machined up a new swingarm pivot out of two pieces of DOM. I need to weld in the pivot and then I can move forward.

Lots of family stuff has kept me from my build, but here are some updates- I got the new pivot welded in, the fender started on trimming, the loop put around the fender and the progressive 970 shocks are on. Those shocks were an amazing score on ebay($280) and will make it worthwhile to spend the money on having them revalved and sprung for this bike.

Looks amazing, just out of curiosity why did you decide to stick with double shocks? With the extended custom swingarm you could have fit a mono shock pretty easily with the extra space. Either way it looks absolutely amazing, and I am subbed for this :freaky

What's the length on those shocks? You got them for a steal! Really like the rear loop

Thanks! I thought about monoshock, but I would have had to add even more bracing to the swingarm and I also like the classic look of twin shocks. Considering I'm going to keep this thing quasi-scrambler looking I thought the twin shocks would look best.

It has been a long time since I've done any work on it but I just moved and have a new shop and just got the bike put back together after the move.
I definitely need to get back on it as the weather is so nice now.

Perfect, thank you. Great build BTW. I couldn't find Pro 970s offered in 16" anywhere. Do you think they were custom built? I'm needing 16s for mine
