Listen up, inmates! This is your chance to build up your cosmic good standing for kicking that dog when you were 11, or that weekend in Vegas last year when your wife was visiting her mom! :deal

Inspired by the "Pay It Forward" thread at yamahafz1oa.com, and the good will generated by this thread started by MantAscona, http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=541935, this thread is for posting listings of FREE STUFF only. It's for offering a riding-related product, that has some intrinsic value, to your fellow advrider inmates for free.

    This is how it works:

    1. "Givers" post ads just like an item for sale. Include details and a picture if possible.
    2. No "wanted" posts! This thread is for giving, not asking!
    3. "Takers" call "dibs" in the message string itself. PM the giver afterwards. Dibs are not claimed by PM.
    4. It's OK to ask the dibs-taker to pay for shipping (only). Donations to advrider are encouraged.
    5. If someone calls dibs, then decides not to take the item, the giver should notify the next in line via PM.
    6. If no one else has dibs, the giver should post a "still available" message.
    7. When an item is no longer available, the giver should post an "item gone" message. This is to keep the "Is this item still available?" messages to a minimum.
    8. It's OK, and the usual case, to have many items available simultaneously. One does not have to "go" before you post another.
    9. You don't HAVE to post a free item after you've received one from another inmate, but that IS the whole idea! :D
    10. There is no message count minimum for calling dibs on an item.
    11. Try to minimize post quoting, as it leads to confusion. Also, try not to post pictures of anything except items for giving.

Well, that's the whole enchilada! Many thanks to Chanderjeet and the Mod Squad for making this a sticky!

I'll start by posting the first item. Let's get this thing rolling!

    FIRST UP...

It's a well-used but servicable Tour Master strap-mount tankbag. The zipper on the little front pocket is busted, and the bottom rubber has been repaired, but it's otherwise in good shape. Straps included. No rain cover. If you need a decent but not perfect tank bag, it's yours.

Free to a good home. I'll pick up the shipping.

    If not too late, Dibs

And I offer 3 Garmin 2610's in various states of working/nonworking. You pay ship if Canada.

If you are not technically chanllenged, there is 1 good hard drive, and I think a good screen in there someplace.

Awesome! That's what I'm talking 'bout! :freaky

It's yours, RideABeam. Tankbag is gone. I'll PM for your shipping address.

You don't have to be the dibs-taker on the previous item to post another. Anyone can post an item any time. :clap

Thanks for the welcome. Been lurking a while, just never posted. Going out to the garage to see if I've got anything worth offering on the thread.:smile6

    Also,

Let's keep this thread clutter free. If you got something to give away. lets post about that. Suggestions, flames, blames, love-talking and usual chit-chat should remain on PMs.
