    OK, I could see that.
Shame no one at the Harley demo event knew that.

FWIW, I did not obey the request and played with the modes.
I never did find a sport one.
I didn't know what the hell I was doing and it was not like I could have asked anyone for some guidance.
Seemed like it had what they called highway (which I was to leave it in), a leaf (eco?) and maybe rain.

Wait....It did have an "S" but would not go into it.

This was the screen I got to.

FWIW one of the things I really liked about the Livewire was its throttle response/control in "Highway" mode.
It was very easy to manage in stop & go and general cruising, but gave a little more resistance as it went into warp drive.
I was expecting a much less linear, more off/on type response.

I wonder if it might have been locked out for demo purposes.

I think so, but maybe I just didn't know what I was doing.
I did get it in leaf and rain though.

Memory is not what it once was, but I think the "S" was greyed out too, not with the red box like the photo above and not as bright as the others.

This is one of the reasons that I am interested in the E bikes. You can program in the ramp up times to soft and easy or as hard as you want. Here at work, we have the ramp up times built in to stop equipment breakage. But they still manage to tear up some pretty big stuff.

There is a HD Livewire Forum, looks like it was started in 2014 - https://www.hdlivewireforum.com/forum/
Even on a dedicated forum no one has posted that they have received their Livewire.

I demoed a Livewire recently. Damn impressive bike, and I am not what you'd call a fan of HD or their customer base. At half the price it would still be too expensive, IMHO, but I think it is exactly the kick the ass the company and its apologist/customers need. It will be a huge sales flop, but it might eventually lead to great things.

My HD dealer in cold suburban Milwaukee has sold every LiveWire it has rec'd and several more that it has not yet rec'd. I'm told that their allocation has been completely spoken for except one unit they are keeping for floor and demo purposes. I haven't seen any on the road because the weather has been unfavorable, including salt residue on some streets.

    <sigh>

As a species, we poor stupid humans have a lot of evolving left to do. For some reason we require witnessing a bizarre, nonsensical circus act that uses a new tool in a very inappropriate manner to convince us that that tool is a rational choice where it's better suited.

    I can't even....

Wait. There's 7000 different "Reality Shows" based on the premise of pitting humans against each other with manufactured drama so the sedated masses can revel in watching people's worst behavior, and you're offended by two guys riding motorcycles northbound across the Western continents?

    Really?

    :lol3

Bruh, Long Way Up isn't a litmus test for humanity, it's just a benign marketing campaign at worst; and might (like their other series) actually have them meeting/interacting with interesting people along the way at best.

There's figuratively a million other reasons to "I Can't Even" right now; pick one.

I saw one up close last week, the guy came by for some juice. It took him 3 tries to get it charging.
He only had 180 miles on it so far. I asked why a Livewire instead of a Zero or? He’s already an HD kool aid drinker with a Vrod

Making these LiveWires some of the least efficient gas-powered motorcycles you'll see for a very long time.
