Nice bit of kit, but you won't like the price.
I've been drinking the Aldi dark for the past two years. It rates very highly against any of the 'brand' names', but I have recently switched to the Aldi medium - it tastes even better and has a higher caffeine content.
Yeah, after experimenting with a few boutique beans I'm going back to the Aldi beans at 12 bucks a kilo!
Been on the cheap bean train for a few years also.
Fresh roasted is really nice.
Been using endlesscup.com.au as mentioned on here. Absolutely delicious. 7kgs so far and quality is superb.
Yeah? Ok, you sold me, ill give it a try. Im impressed with the Aldi beans.
The recommendations have me thinking I will also try the ALDI stuff. Is it Arabica blend?
When you visit here our Coffee is always the Aldi brand.. We love it and at $11.95 for a 1kg bag it's real value.. the Dark or Medium are both nice and on the bag it says sourced from Arabica and Robusta...
Just picked up a couple of Aldi beans, different packaging to last lot I got!
Also got a model of my all time fave muscle car....win win!
Sidey, keep us posted on your thoughts on the Medium against the dark couldya? Ive still got a months worth of dark left.
I wondered what was affecting your otherwise reasonable coffee. Not a Robusta fan I'm afraid, the yanks seem to love the muddy stuff but I can't stand it. I reckon I'll stick with Lavazza for now, I am an Arabica tragic when it comes to coffee.
I just had an afternoon pint of the stuff (with a couple of sugars for a change), very tasty and stopped me feeling hungry too. You should come over for a coffee eh.
I'm pretty sure Lavazza is the supplier for Aldi's home brand beans. I don't know whether it's a different mix of beans though.
No,Its Lazzio, as pictured above!!!
The medium roast earnt a silver medal!
I'm with you Tom. Wont touch Robusta again
Whoops, I got that wrong.
Great to see the good reviews they are getting though.
I tried to research which of the Lazzio/Aldi coffees were Arabica or Robusta. Any idea guys?
Maybe a blend?
From the back of the pack!
Earn or bought?
Take a look at the prize list - there were lots of brands handed medals in each category.
I couldn't find a list if any brands that didn't get medals
So , for what it's worth, in a mire transparent competition
Lazzio medium blend didn't get any awards but their columbian single origin got silver
