Markinthailand, We are often at Bier Stubes for breakfast, ride a Candyapple red Honda CBR 250 R with a top case on the back, drop in & say hello if you see my bike in front.

A new bike caught my eye the other day; drug it halfway down the street before I could get it put back in.

Yeah, that's a gawdy 500X, but I'm lovin' the windshield. I'm pretty sure that's the National Cycle shield. First time I've seen a picture of it mounted on the bike though. Looks pretty sweet to me. I tried just about every shield available on my S10, and the National Cycle definitely was the best. I'll probably order this shield, (as soon as I get my 500X).

It's a knock-off of that shield, most likely. Loads of different windscreens here, just and bent from plastic in all sorts of crazy shapes and sizes. Sometimes they just copy off of a photo.

I really like this bike. I have a R1200GS now and really want to down size.

How does the performance compare between the CB500X, the CB700X and say a F800GS ?

I replaced my 2003 1150 gs with a 2014 cb 500x. Very happy with the X. Get the center stand & 47 liter Givi top case. Forget the Honda side cases, very expensive . The Givi tall windshield works well.
