I suspect the biggest problem being a lover of any old bike is the internal conflict one has when it comes to choosing what to buy and which to ride. Yeah, it's a nice dilemna to be in, things could be worse. Is your's progressing any Davo? or is that it in the snap with the terrier and GT380/500?
Gasp! Mine a reliable runner but also looking about for a bigger 350 / 400 twin I am collecting bits for an RV125 project too.
Nice bikes!!! Anyone know of a source for crank oil seals for a '76 GT 250? I've looked on line and can only find LH crank seals available not the RH or center seal.
Hey Davo, Who did the soda blasting? I've got to send stuff for anything other than abrasive blasting. I'm thinking about vapour blasting as it's promoted as the best thing, particularly for engine parts, so...why did you go soda?
I'm a little dissapointed with the soda result. It is obviously a gentler process and does not remove much material so you will get a clean finish - not necessatily bright. Soda blasting is great on car panels and removing graffiti. It was relatively cheap but if you want a more smoother reflective satin style finish on alloy - I think hydro blasting (slurry) gives a better result. We have a local soda blast guy so I thought I would give him a go.
Well I don't want to make it sound personal but your picture is cool and it's wallpaper FTTB I remember those bikes.
