Heads up for Arizona residents shopping for an awesome safari rifle. Cabelas has a used Browning High Power .338 Win Mag just dropped from $1299 to $699. I have eyeballed it in person and it is a fantastic rifle. My decrepit shoulder could not handle the recoil and I know my wife would hate shooting it otherwise I would be all over this.

That store in Glendale has some deals. I got my Weatherby there, had it shipped to Texas and it was still cheaper than anything I could find anywhere else.

Look at the gun library of their store in La Vista Nebraska. Not sure about the deals, but last time I looked their inventory was huge.

Local gun show is this weekend and I noticed something odd today. I’ve actively looked for a .32 acp in the past and often found only one in a large show. Today I wasn’t looking and found five. Guess some things are coming out of the bottom drawers due to ammo shortages.

Am I even going to be able to find 15 rd mags that will fit my FN HP DAO? I’ve been eyeing some BDM mags on gunbroker but haven’t been willing to buy them until I know they will work.

No, did not. I’m trying to keep my total number of chamberings down. Last thing I need is to start chasing more things when I can’t even source common ones. Guess that’s why I stopped looking at the .32 a while back.

OK. During the last "panic", I got better prices on .32 because so few people shoot those. I have a Beretta my father brought back from Spain in 1956 (no import marks even). I doubt it had even ever had 100 rounds through it (it does now).

Hahahahaha. As long as it tells time and that goes bang... *shrug*

life has been both hard and good to me. I get a new custom gun every time i deploy, and had a chance to build some great relationships with some great shops. That particular watch was an engagement gift from my woman. We met on our last deployment and and got engaged a couple months back.

Here is a couple rotations ago. Went to NightHawk custom. We had the opportunity meet the owner and some of the people there, and give our builder a team t shirt. Got to do the finishing work on the gun with my son in the shop. It was a great experience and hands down my favorite pistol.

30-06. Thinking of getting one. Want mechanical (bolt, lever or pump) with iron sights (seems to be most don't have).
Who has what that you like and who has what that you would not recommend?? Have done most of my hunting SE US (brush country) with 30-30. Moving out west where they have long, long, long patches of clearing.

If you're planning on hunting with this gun out West you will not want iron sights, trust me.

In the Rockies, 300 yards is a close shot.
