I have just returned from a 5000k round trip to the Flinders on my TTR250,and I have to say,I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!!!:clap:clap:clap
I am a huge fan now of the Tiddler, having proved to myself that it is viable AND enjoyable to tour on a 250
So........... I propose a gathering of like minded souls to praise the little bikes virtues:deal
First up, lets see if there is any interest at all:D I know this can be a tough room at times:evil
If any interest, then a date and venue will be required
I'm thinking Windeyer near Mudgee, end of November, but doesnt even have to be this year, lets hear your thoughts:ear
If it gets up, there will be stickers and badges
EDIT Of course I embrace all bikes LESS than 250cc as well!
    250 and under, all welcome!!!

Make it a 250 cc and under Dave , brings in the Postie bikes and the like , all light weight tourers and travel bikes sub 250 cc or something similar , might even get some blokes off their arses and doing the mods and alterations to their bikes they intended to do ages ago :evil . ( Postie with Upside down forks , disc brake and 140 cc motor waiting for a reason to build it here . )

actually looks like a great idea. After the ocr expenditure I wont be spending any $ on big trips for a while. Went over to a mates place at Tarago on the long weekend, bush block about 100acres with a few tracks. Had a ball, haven't really riden trail bikes much before so did a lot of low speed stuff. had a lap on his wr450. That was fun! Got inspired to start putting in some tracks at home at last. Roughed out a 3.5k loop so far & should be able to stretch that to about 5k. I reckon 2 laps will have me well stuffed! I'll keep an eye on this thread Dave, should be fun!!

I'd recon my L and p plater sons would love to swap bikes . The little 225 serow is great bike . Well what my boys have dished up to it and it has taken it.
Just put new steering head bearings in .now it should go round corners a lot better:clap
    Dennis that track sounds great

Many years ago I use to go everywhere on a 250, Ah Dennis. You get to see a lot more of the journey and not much of the destination as you had to turn round and head home .....so 30 odd years later why not do it again

Would have to sneak it past the Mrs.... guess I could say I'm storing it for a "mate". :evil

Or if someone would buy my Goldwing she wouldn't have any reason to complain.... any one want to make an offer?? [might even take a rego'd 250 trailie as part payment for it.... :ear

Good idea - I might be keen to tag along on my drz250 if the dates line up. I'm a bit of a write-off until mid-Jan though (uni marking in Nov and going to Europe in Dec). Go with whatever dates and if I can make it, that'll be sweet :freaky

This year for me, it would have to be last weekendNov or first weekend Dec
For next year I'd be thinking April some time
