Yeah, and with the right-side shifter and left-side kickstarter, my drill was to stand to the left side, lean it left and kick with my right foot. Awkward, but mine started pretty easily.

Why not? If you have decided to rebuild the engine anyway, why not start it first? You'll gain a sense of what it needs by listening to it.

If the trap is nearly full of dirt and corruption, and some of it breaks loose, it would be like sending lapping compound through the bearings. I'd rather take the engine apart myself than to have it decide to "depart from togetherness" on its own. It's been parked for a good long while.

Many years ago when I lived in Fredneck, I saw an ad for a storage unit auction and there was a Cagiva motorcycle listed as one of the items. Hoping it was an Elephant or Grand Canyon, I was disappointed when it turned out to be an AR350.

I might have bought that one - I can't remember where I got the "parts bike" I had in addition to the one pictured. Cagiva reportedly only ever imported a dozen of them.

I was wondering if that's where you got it. When I saw it,I hadn't seen one before and couldn't find any info on it, so I was thinking it might had been a military personal import, thus explaining and abandoned storage unit auction. I passed because I figured parts would be difficult.

I meant to talk to old mate about his bike, but never got around to it... I remember in the program it listed the frame as something other than a McIntyre, so I would imagine it's a homemade copy of the design. As for engine capacity, it must be over 350!
    Quick bike, well ridden.

^^^ A fully functional Sprint! It's sorta sad, but I like it just the same. I'm surprised it doesn't disappear piece by piece from thieves in the night . . . I see all kinds of good parts on there.
