I'm curious, was that photo taken about here? 49.98052, -117.66782
It's a designated recsite at a trailhead listed in the backroads mapbook. If that was a mistake to post then it was an honest one and I will delete. My bad.
Of course now you've made me curious.
Thank you. My post was due to SSphotos' comment. What's that line from that Eagles' song "Give a place the name Paradise, you can kiss it goodbye"?
Alright let’s get this thread back on track. Here’s an easy one.
Nailed it. You’re up
So that's the view I missed riding up there in the smoke in early September 2020.
North end of Duncan?
Lower Duncan Lake reservoir. That snowy ridge in the top right is the same ridge the rider is on in the previous photo, but looking the opposite direction and at a different time of year.
You got it. This was taken from the north end of the island in Duncan lake this past Sunday. Welcome to the game @Rabble its your go!
While we're waiting, how do you access Lavina.? A spot closer to home I might be able to get to on a day trip
Take Duncan Lake FSR just south of Cooper Creek and follow it up the east side of Duncan Lk. The Lavina Rd is about 10Km from when you turn off the pavement.
Thanks Ymirtrials, I'll have to pass until I get back to a certain spot I have in mind this summer with an actual camera in hand.
Thanks, I was scoping maps this morning after posting. Sort of had it figured from the conversation. Been Trout Lake too many times to count and into The Dam but never up the East side of Duncan Lake. It is now on the list. Might make it an over nighter.
An easy one to get things rolling again.
Not the Pend-o...
Might wait a bit before clues....
