Did you see the old plane crash site when you walked up from the road through the meadow? About 2/3 of the way up. In the 60's a single engine plane with 2 or 3 on board crashed head first into the mountain in an afternoon thunderstorm. You can still see remains and would have walked near it. My dad took us kids up in the old Willys the day after it happened and we found it, after the officials had cleaned up.

Hey, @Rabble you going to do this next round, or relinquish your turn again? Should I ask for a volunteer to go next?

I guess it is a safe guess that is old mining equipment. Anyone know what it is? Great shot!

I don’t actually remember the name of the mine, where would the Lead Queen be located? Another photo... 2CC0D2DB-F600-43BE-A291-75DFD09158ED.jpeg

I was going to guess somewhere NE of Trout Lake, but the Percells are on the East side of the Duncan. Hmmm... And then there is an old compressor about 2 Km up on the west Earl Gray Pass Trail, but you can't ride to it. :scratch

This is in the Badshot range (pretty sure that is still Purcells?) and the nearest place to get fuel is here:

I looked at Backroads Rec/Topo map and found Badshot Range. Nearby in a larger type was MOUNTAINS but I couldn't find the name to go with MOUNTAINS. More looking and found there are several instances of that. Seems someone forgot or I didn't look far enough away for the missing names.
Google to the rescue: from a link to a Wikipedia page: The Badshot Range is a subrange of the Duncan Ranges of the Selkirk Mountains of the Columbia Mountains in southeastern British Columbia, Canada, located west of Duncan Lake and Westfall River east of Trout Lake.
You're at Trout Lake in the pic.
