I didn't make it to Inuvik, but got to the Arctic Circle "monument" and turned around since the Peel River ferry was out-of-service due to swollen river covering the landings.

    One hell of a Highway!

Just took the time to finally make a small video from my trip in June 2018. The Dempster to Tuk has to be one of the best looking adventure road in the world.

What tires were you running? Some of that looks as slick as snot on a doorknob. Did you write a ride report?

I used Heidenau K60 Scout tires, I can't say they were the best for all conditions but they did last the full trip and got me to Tuk and back.

I have used those and liked them. Thought they were kind of sketchy on wet asphalt though and switched to TKC80's. I love the TKC80's but, they would never survive 15,000 miles or so, so I am thinking I may use the K60's for my 2020 trip to Deadhorse and Tuk.

And I did follow and read your report. I will read it again. :D

    Dempster 2006 during the Alcan5000:

Some of us needed fuel between Eagle Plains and Dawson. The club provided a fuel truck...

I loved the Dempster! The TOW was next on this trip. Then the Denali after that. Prior to the Dempster we did S and N Canol, Telegraph Creek, and the Blackwater... That fuel truck came in handy!

What a fantastic ride the Dempster is. I ran out of fuel coming into Eagle Plains and coasted to the fuel pump.
