Great report and photos. Noticed one of the locals was wearing a University of Texas cap, probably celebrating our football win last night, oh yea, and he was also wearing a Dr.Pepper t-shirt, he would be called a local around here.

You guys are riding in an area I want to go to----so I am enjoying it.

I remember reading another ride in the area a while back where some guys went up to Potosi Mountain and it broke the frame on his KLR in half. Man I bet that was tough----so many miles of those rocks---that never let up.

Probably one of those places you go to sometimes where you didn't know you had a good time till 2 weeks after you got home.
I've had a few of those.

    Oh----I thought it said "Kitties"

    thanks :D

Glad to see you found me Mr. Sampson.

I really really enjoyed this trip. The best trip/ride of my life so far. It is great riding. If you go exploring, you can find all kinds of stuff. Slow down. Enjoy the scenery. Don Quixote told us that several times. Only closer to the end did I listen and wish I had listened sooner. The people are SUPER friendly. We never felt in danger, not even at the border. We camped. No worries. One evening when choosing a campsite, I was more worried about not camping in a wash, just in case it rained. That night, I was mainly worried about a coyote getting into my mess kit on my bike.

If it came down to it, I would have felt safe to camp in any one of the remote towns we traveled through.

Did I mention it was cheap? One night, we paid $380 pesos for a room with three beds. We all ate lunch one day for $10. We got 3 cokes and 2 bags of potato chips for $23 pesos. 13 pesos to the dollar.

Great report so far. Nice pics, but not naughty bits as promised. Next thing you know, you are going to tell me that you are a representative of our government or somefink.

More pics, more local food, more jiggly bits. Please.

Truly something I wish I had been on. No, not really, my knees would kill me, as would my wifely bits, but it is good for me to say that.....

    More please!

OK---you talked me into it. Sounds like a really nice area to visit----I just heard about it not long ago---thanks for the great info.

A great opportunity to go somewhere besides copper canyon and yet it's not all that far from the border---easy quick access.

So, go over the hill from the burro man village. You will then pass the gun/machete wilding Mexican and start up a rocky climb. You will see a trail going off the edge of the cliff. Take that route. :nod

I dont know how well you speak spanish, but if your throwing around "burro" alot your telling these guys anything from "your little animal is a piece of feces" to"your an asshat" to "little faggot boy" to "horse cunt".
Depends on who you are talking to and how good they percieve you spanish is. Just saying...

By the way cool trip and
