Looks like the weather and work may finally be cooperating... Fingers crossed, hope to see you all at 3 Step Saturday, or even Friday night! Sounds like a great time!
Hey Guys. My KTM 950 Adventure has fresh oil, a fixed fuel sensor and some "new" tires I stole from a dumpster for the trip. GPS is programmed. I'll start packing my stuff and leave L.A. Friday morning. I hope to get to Cedar City area on Friday night and Three Step by early afternoon Saturday. Save some wabbit chili for me! Q~
Well, it took quite awhile, but I'm all caught up! Had fun following all your travels, I'm lucky if I can sneak away for a weekend trip! Looking forward to reading more...
just to check the oil before heading out. and my cultch cable sheathing melted Awesome. Better in the garage than in Nowhere Utalarado.
Glad to here you all made it to 3 step. I was wandering around Utah close to the places you all were I week earlier but I stayed on the roads. The wind and weather made it exciting:eek1 for me as well. I wish my timing was better and I'd been able to meet up with you and buy you a beer. Looking forward to the trip report. Eric
A Great time riding with all the Mobius crew Awesome route as always!!!! Great ride, Great friends, Great times!!!!!! Scott
3 Step Hidaway. I was a tag along to this destination from irvine Ca , Vegas, grand cn, AZ, Utah 5 days 1,200 miles great views and a worm friendly welcome from Scott and julie at 3 step hidaway. What a fun ride and if your on the fence on this destination let me say START PLANNING! This is what riding and meeting new friends are all about. It was great and i can bet it will only get better. There were about 10 people there when we rode up and had a great time talking eating and drinking in the saloon. Johnny
Johnny, It was Great to meet you guys!!.....Thanks for stopping in!!! Glad you had a Good ride back home!! Scott
Scott (DingWeed), thanks so much for putting on your Open House, and providing such a great venue for the ADV rider crowd. I'll be back! It was fun to visit with everyone and I always learn a lot from folks like Mark and Doc. Doc is a real maestro on his Garmin Montana, and the chance to look over Mark's new KTM 690 was a treat. 'Really has me thinking...... See ya in a few weeks! Ken
I just got back from my blitzkrieg tour of Utah and Arizona. 1600 miles in three days of riding... There is so much empty space in that part of the country. :eek1 But rolling into the Three Step Hideaway was like returning home to a pleasant timeless paradise. It's rustic, but luxurious all at the same time. Scott has got himself a little piece of heaven and is an amazing host. I took many pictures but here are a few to whet your appetite. The Ranch A slice of History The infamous Dr. Rock all weathered from all the miles. It's the Wild West for sure. You still gotta harness up your steed so it doesn't wander off. But everyone has fun there. You can see the child-like joy in peoples faces. The stoic Mobius riders. And good times around the campfire. The Three Step Hideaway... You owe it to yourself to visit there. Q~
Yes sireee...the Hideaway has been found and it is not the start of a "12 Step Rehab" unless you are trying to give up TV and cell phones along with the tourist crush and inflated prices of Moab. Julie and Scott have developed a little slice of off-road moto heaven. The setting and the "setup" are spectacular. Our entertainment came in the form of Dr. Rock, LDF, Big Dog's guitar, Heli-John's star gazing, Black Hat Barry, Edward the Scorpion "Quiestor", and the Big Bertha Brown BBQ Queen...The early May weather was perfect and I'm guessing the ADV / TAT crew have a new must hit destination. Thanks to our stellar hosts Scott (Dingweed) and Julie (The Jedi) and a cast of new found friends it was the perfect start to the riding season. Thanks Dr. Rock for the morning mini tour of the area to dust up the WR. Lyn and I spent the next two days hiking not biking but it was a great trip. Thanks to all.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone!!! It was a Fantastic time with new and old friends!!! Thanks again to everyone that made this such a GREAT gathering!!! Scott
Glad to be following along for another Mobius. The 3-Step Hideaway looks like a fantastic place, I will definitely have to stay a night or two there if I'm ever riding through the area.
