Oh yeah. When we left the road and parking lot were dry as a bone, bruddah. Dry as a bone.
Not everything was dry.
Typical, I post in wrong thread. One of these days I'll actually do something right.
Bah. No worries!
Yeah, it's the plug that's a real pain in the ass. So just lean the bike and put that fancy funnel in the drain hole and never touch the silly plastic plug again!
Whats the recommended trans oil for the 314R? HTX740 or just normal NASA grade lube
Remove two of the 6 clutch springs and the oil sensitivity is a thing of the past
I will be doing that mod when I am in a position to rebuild the engine. I have been taking notes all along....
Why wait? It takes all of five minutes May have to demount the brake pedal is the only hassle, if it doesn't clear when pushing it down. I wish someone would do the mod and report on it. It fixed a 315R's clutch and I'm assuming it's the same evil clutch on the 314, because when it comes to Honda clutches and model years, why improve a perfectly stupid clutch?
Needs new main bearings.
I haven't split the cases yet, might as well wait until the whole lot is apart and ready to go back together.
I hate splitting engines and leaving them around.
Aha. And know what you mean. Lose track of one part when someone bumps the bench and you are screwed!
Heh heh heh... Look what showed up last night all the way from the UK!
HUGE thanks to Bounder for the EbayUK link. I was originally just going to get the seat plastic, but when I saw the subframe and silencer assembly were also available (ones that do not require days of repair/mods like the junk I have), the "Buy it Now" button got pushed!
Now if it would only stop raining/snowing...
I thought this was a 315 thread?
Nice box o` crap!
Why thank you. It will compliment a pile o' crap!
Which reminds me. How's your box 'o crap Montesa coming along??
That was quick, looking forward to the pics of the rebuilt 314!
Yup, 6 days from ordered from the UK to delivered to Albuquerque, USA. I was impressed. Now where do I order nice, clear weather from?
We have some here now, pity most of the rest of the country is so flooded and the UK as well!
Unbelievable stuff, be better off doing trials with a jetski at the moment.
