Edit - bike sold thanks all.
I am looking for a 315, near Pittsburgh would be a plus....
Hmmmm..... Miss Bitters' 2002 315R leaned way over draining out trans/clutch fluid. Wonder wozzup here.....
More to come.....
Uh. Needs V-8.
Not sure a juice drink will help him or the bike much.
Well as seen on the Craig's thread, I bought an '04. Did 1140 miles to between Lyons and Estes Park, Colorado, yesterday/today to pick it up from a trail rider. My favorite type of buy!! Clean, rims, cases, frame, etc. not gouged or beaten to death.
On the other hand, it was owned by a trail rider. Handlebars pulled back, bar controls pointed almost all the way down, forks almost Roadracing stiff. Big list being compiled for Overland now, but first some "housecleaning"...
Yeah this '15 was born and raised in Colorado but you're in the 505 now, baby!!! No more stickers.
Quickie check of the air filter verified it's trail bike past -
1/4 full of pine needles, pine cone bits and bark.
More to come....
Oh yeah, obligatory pic of "just paid for it and haven't loaded it yet".
JC you drove up to Denver and bought that? Therapy cannot fix this...
Rare, collector's item!
Estes Park is a good piece north of Denver. But you're point is well taken. The boy needs help.
I guess some rejetting will be in order as well?
Well it does look a little nicer than that last 315 you saved from the crusher.
Oh yeah. The pilot is painfully lean, it's super unhappy down low. Main feels OK, but I wanna get into the carb before I do to much.
Thanks. It's worlds better than the Rat, yes.
Maybe someday you'll build a 316 out of roached 315 and 4RT!
Just couldn't help myself. "Don't clean off the lift from the 4RT strip, just do a couple of simple things on the 315 on a stand".
Carb removal to verify it was painfully lean (33 pilot and 95 main!!!), and then couldn't help myself.
Yup, all the light wiring, light, speedo and cable got removed, and the Overland Trail list just got longer.
New Pro Taper 7/8s bars and Renthal grips already on the way. More to come. Much more.....
In the middle of a sorta big order with Dennis at Overland Trail when I look down and see this -
Bou the Wonder Coyote asking when this "new" bike will be ready to go.
You have strange looking yotes out there.
I think Bou the Wonder Coyote is asking " will he ever put a bike back together"?
It's a mystery for the ages...
