Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! Hope to see you out Larry, early though. It's getting freaking hot at San Yo and FR376 is still shut down at Lake Fork. It's also dry as toast up there. Hopefully we'll get some rain.

Hey man, I don’t get to pick it up till the second, but I hope to get back to regular church attendance :lol3. Went dual sporting in the Jemez, I’ve never seen it so dry on the forest roads. FR144 was several inches deep in silt in places :(

I’ve looked three times through the manual and cannot find mention of how many links in the stock chain on my 4RT....anyone know? Should I post this in the o-ring chain thread? :hide

Hey thanks. I ended up with a 120 because thats what he had on the shelf. I’m putting new chain and sprockets on the 4RT I’m selling.

I can likely get a crate from one of the shops, I would look into it if someone is serious about coming to the dark side! :deal

    Well...

If I was upgrading a standard 4RT I would likely go with an Ohlins because cost is relatively low and it is one of the more serviceable and up-gradable options. Another benefit is that it will not be such a high end upgrade that I would feel like I need to upgrade the front at the same time. My 2 cents worth. :thumb

    Good luck.

A couple of the more expensive options...
    Reiger: https://www.splatshop.co.uk/reiger-...or-trrs-sherco-scorpa-gasgas-and-montesa.html
    Showa: https://jbanyeres.com/en/suspension...de-montage.html?search_query=shock&results=24

If the shock isn’t worn out buy a bunch of gas and ride the bike until it is worn out. That will make the the most improvement in the ride. When it’s done buy new shock or new bike.

Im going to call a suspension expert later today and will probably take Lineways advice and put linkage back to stock and try it with the fork spring only
But I have a mechanically perfect bike with a large scratch on the frame and missing a sticker
$5500. New bike is 9500 with tax and prep or 10500 for 260 race rep. Essentially my bike with Showa. Even at a $1000 for a shock its still a bargain. Ill see if we make bonus this quarter first

Funny, we will post all day long looking for info that is right in front of our faces. It takes about 3 minutes to count the links manually. I gave 3 minutes because no one counts it right the first time!

My clutch cover took a hit and now its leaking from the passage plug marked by my screwdriver. Anyone know if that plug can be taken out and resealed or is it factory assembled and thats it? There is no mention of it in the manual that I can find. image.jpg
