My 2017 300RR started getting stiff spots in the steering and even made some snapping noises recently. Took it apart and found the lower bearing seized and a few tablespoons of water in the head tube. There was only a little grease and that was really dirty. 240 hours on the bike - should have checked steering bearings earlier. Top nut was a little loose too. I am in New England and have ridden a fair amount of rain and water crossings. And most events have required a good washing afterward. I always avoid squirting water at bearing points, but wonder what else I can do to avoid water in the steering tube again.

Having it packed with quality marine grad grease with everything correctly tight will definitely help. You have less space for any water and less chance for any to get in. I would guess there is other tricks but at leas this works well for me. Was more important for me when I lived in western Washington.

CRC Sta-lube Marine Boat Trailer and 4x4 Wheel Bearing Grease works great. Good for swingarm & linkage too.

06 4RT makeover. I like my 06 4rt rather a lot, but because I have so little talent, I wanted to spice her up a bit, to distract people from my riding. Plan A was modern plastics with Repsol graphics. The graphics kit is still somewhere in the postal system, but the new Honda plastics fit nicely on the 06 with a small amount of Dremel work EE45803D-1B28-41C0-A3D9-2E9B5F238FD9.jpeg
And I put my spirit guide on the tank

and then I got a serendipitous chance to get a Japanese market limited run fender, that looks amazing :drif

so only about $100 and a bit of label and I have a couple of different looks and still no talent. But if you want to freshen up your older Tesa, then it’s easily done

Hey I'm new to the group. I just bagged this unicorn the other day and I figured I'd join up to say hello and chat about some Tesa's. I just completed the first ride today and the 301 is every bit as amazing as I expected. Anybody know if I can modify / fit up a 260 rear fender to use for practice. I just know I'll loop out one day and break it.

Welcome to the the group! :thumb

I don't know for sure but every year they have done them the 260 plastic fits the 2016-2019 300RR's so I would expect the same.

If your willing to put a little bit of sticky backed foam on it yourself I would try pricing a non-stickered 301RR fender, if its anything close to earlier 300RR/260's it will cost very little in comparison to the fully snickered version and be well worth it.

Thanks, I was thinking about that. I've heard the fenders for these are back ordered but I'll give it a shot and see what happens.
I'm in North Florida near Jacksonville and have 0 riding buddies. So I'm up for some riding if theres much around.

sweet bike! I know the new tank and the old fender don’t work together for your spare. Maybe some grinding could make it happen.
If the USA is back ordered on fenders check Mickey oats in the UK! I’ve gotten some stuff there before and the service and pricing is always top notch.

Good luck with the bike and we’ll see you at Fun in the sun 2021.

You are hanging out with the wrong crowd, plus they must not like you. They still have left over 2018`s at a deal, which nobody in the club has. Almost everybody has had a Repsol. Rob O, Bruce, Lance, Tim D. Matt W. etc..... Now if you would do a big orange wig and a few Trump stickers for our Halloween trials that could be fun.:imaposer
PS. Did you get the S3 electric starter kit included?
