Hmm, have an overnighter planned that weekend near Mt Hood... Might be fun to stop by on the way back home.

I was in Rochester, NH yesterday at the first day's lunch stop. Chris & Pat Simmons pulled in a few bikes apart. She hopped off and immediately started talking to the crowd and other riders. He got off, walked around the bike a few times then got on his knees and started fiddling with it. The whole time with that huge smile.

It's time to bump this up to page 1. It looks like we have at least 4 that will meet for lunch in Stevenson. I believe LC Garage and Lit'l Red will show up too. Hopefully a few others too.

RTWDoug #88 is still going strong and has completed all his miles on his '29 Indian 101 Scout.

I'll try and make it there for lunch also. One of the few places in Stevenson where I haven't eaten. :dukegirl

Awesome. I hope it's a good place to eat I just picked it at random since I'm not familiar with Stevenson.

We ate at Big River Grille just up the street last week. It was delicious. The place you chose has the same rating.

Nice! This gig is rolling into The Dalles for dinner/hotel at 5-6:30 this Saturday as I read it.
I think a bunch of us dirty bikers might just show up for this, right after riding the great Suicide Grade -

Perfect, it will be nice to see dirty riders roll in to welcome the Cannonballers. The event is timed so they start rolling in at about the designated end time and stay for the allotted time to meet and greet all the people that want to see them and their bikes. They are all very gracious and answer all the silly questions anyone can throw at them. I'll be there in my white mini cargo van.

The competitors don't even know that until that morning. Route info isn't released to the public. But if there is a leak I would like to know the route from The Dalles to Skamania..:D

Looks like decent and benign weather for the finish if forecasts hold up.

A 20 percent chance of showers before 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. West wind 5 to 8 mph.

One of the reasons they don't release the route to the public is that most of the Cannonballer's don't like more modern bikes riding with them.

Change the channel or look at another weather site, weather underground says 4% of rain in Stevenson Wa. on Sunday......that's 96% chance it won't rain :D

Heading out for The Dalles soon to meet up with my brother and will be in Stevenson (hopefully for lunch) on Sunday.

I went to see them when they stopped in Kennewick today. It was awesome to see them ride in and out. Here are some pics I took. I posted more in the cannonball thread.
