Photobucket strikes again!
Try posting to ADV from your files rather than linking thru Photobucket.
Dang it. I left Advrider and closed the internet and then came back and the photo was still there. Then - as Ride Now pointed out - Photobucket struck again (the opposite of what happened with my first photo, where the photo was directly posted and went away and Photobucket stuck). Maybe it is time to get a Smugmug account.
In any case, here is the view from the other side of the bridge (I hope).
I'm quoting my posted photo because I could see it even after I logged out, got off the computer, and came back. Maybe you guys will be able to see it (and maybe I'll have to give up and disclose the location).
See no pic in post 12384
Okay - shared from Smugmug. If no one can see it, I give up and will disclose this invisible location.
The Other side.
Wynoochee River. Wynoochee Lake is behind that dam.
That's right - take it away.
I need to spend more time on the Olympic Peninsula. There is a lot to see and many fun moto roads. I did the Grip Twister self-guided tour a few years ago. I highly recommend it.
Ok, now to find a pic of some obscure place...
I hope it's not too easy. Where am I? Name the peak/mountain.
Hint: It's not in Idaho.
Is that the Alvord Desert in the distance on the left side of the picture?
It is not.
But you're in the right State...
Is there a dry lake bed in the distance? (Heck of a photo by the way.)
It does look like a dry lake but it's pretty rugged terrain. It must be the perspective and lightning that makes it look flat-ish.
Bitterroot National Forest
Um. Thought we already established Oregon. I'm trying to tell, are those mountains in the distance the Blue Mountains, Wallowas, or toward Anthony Lakes.
Oregon it is, @tomasv
My first pic is facing southeast-ish and the places you mention, @97707, are all north of here.
Here is a pic of what the area looks like from a different angle. Its kind of pointing in the Anthony Lakes direction, @97707
