    This was the Commando I raced in the late '80s. The bike belonged to Spokester and was fast as hell! Won about 25 races in CCS Twins and WERA Vintage.

    Maybe the single Mikuni is jetted lean, it's got "Bonneville Blue" headpipes...

    Not my video but was sent to me by the guy who finished 2nd in '88 and '89. It's not very clear but at the 2:10 mark was the start of the V4 race in '88 where I started in the back and took three laps to catch the leaders, by lap 4 we were pulling away. At the 16:50 mark you can hear the Norton coming down the backstretch into Gravity Cavity and way out front on the first lap of the 1989 V4 final. The video does not show it but it was raining and Mellow Yellow loved the rain.
