There's a brand new Interstate in a crate coming up for auction.
I'd rather bid on this;
Yeah, at least it shifts on the correct side.
I'm still accumulating parts for this one.
This was the Commando I raced in the late '80s. The bike belonged to Spokester and was fast as hell! Won about 25 races in CCS Twins and WERA Vintage.
@Norton357 I remember you and that thing at Road Atlanta.
Had some good times with the CCRs back in those days
First rate photo!
Clear enough that you can see the hole in the primary cover!
Another Norton on the auction block.
^I like the yellow (and the rims)!
Nice bike - interesting to see what it goes for.
Maybe the single Mikuni is jetted lean, it's got "Bonneville Blue" headpipes...
Then there's this..
My first thought when I saw the picture...
I didn’t post this one. Customer bike.... and my FTR
Not my video but was sent to me by the guy who finished 2nd in '88 and '89. It's not very clear but at the 2:10 mark was the start of the V4 race in '88 where I started in the back and took three laps to catch the leaders, by lap 4 we were pulling away. At the 16:50 mark you can hear the Norton coming down the backstretch into Gravity Cavity and way out front on the first lap of the 1989 V4 final. The video does not show it but it was raining and Mellow Yellow loved the rain.
Dude, that is freaking amazing.
