J Wheelbarrow has worked in the down under forum for a number of years now John...
Interesting facts from Dakar 2015 entry list
Definately something wrong with these numbers, I can count for sure 88 KTM's and I did not have my six pack yet
yes, im very sorry. my mistake.
rechecked all numbers.
now its ok
That's not Kawasaki green
If that is the case then Husqys and Bergs should be orange too
How about some pie charts of nationalities, age and previous Dakar experience?
Go on, you'll enjoy it when it's done.
I tweeted nationalities yesterday, 37 countries represented with France still leading the way with 25 entrants. Argentina is next with 19 and I believe it was 17 from the Netherlands.
For the bike count, I went with 90 KTM's since the Pavey family is listed riding brand "...." when I believe they are both on KTM's this year. Even Javier Pizzolito is on a .... I think it's a special consolation bike from HRC which slots in between the full HRC unobtanium and the Honda Argentina customer version.
Pre Dakar in Bolivia.
21 november-23 november...........
Is this on TV?
Pre-Dakar incluirá a 88 pilotos de motos y cuadras -
Thought I would check in too.
Really looking forward to this years slug fest.
Nope, bike numbers are still wrong..... No Rally Raid Products
mmmmmmmmmm... pie.... :dg
Oh c'mon Mad Cow... don't come that bit... Like when the Chinese put Whang Chung stickers on XR 400's one year... (then some WR 450's... and then a KTM 450 RR another time) and called them their "own"...
Mind you... ASO did make John jump through hoops to get the LC4-50 kit approved... so it's probably only right that they do mark the precedent!
Good news today from Eurosport Player, I've just had an email from them offering me a free one month's subscription if I take part in a survey.
As I usually sign up for only one month of the year anyway and the survey took me all of 30 seconds to complete, that's my Dakar coverage sorted for 2015.....
Or I could watch the snooker
Harsh Troy ;o) We did actually re-engineer the internal parts of the LC4 engine you know!
But yes, I agree the rest is pretty much a KTM 690 - albeit covered in Rally Raid Products' own tanks, fairing, tower and other race parts...
Oh, and I just heard from John - the Rally Raid Products LC4-50 has passed scrutineering - we are good to go!!!
It's official, The LC4-50 has passed scrutineering - John is one happy man!
