I wonder who is the most nervous at this time?

RG for having to seize his chance?
SP for wanting the 12th win he gave away to Roma?
NR for proving himself that he can win?
NAA for not wasting anymore time and having a car that can win again?
CS for hoping he can win again?
GDV for having on-par equipment and finally reaching the top spot?
Terranova for being the first Argentinean to win?

Speaking of which.... any of the routined f5'ers have a depart time (frist MOTO) from the Depart bivouac for LEG 1...? :ear

I checked out the ASO site yesterday... but all I could find on the daily timing matrix was 07:50 AM (which was not specified if that was the bivouac depart... or start time (competition) of SS1...?

If someone could check this... I'm working from a pad couple to the camfire for power supply and a USB on a coathanger for interwb connection... so I am limiting my lurking to just ADVRider at present...:lol3

PPS has gone down a bit since the waypoint hunting diminished (no more live irritrack screen and multiple "Coma at CP1, Depred at + 10.... news at 11:00" type posts. :1drink

I read it that you were right first time Troy - there is a 144k liason which kicks off at 05.15 local time - the Special at 07.50

There are some tabs on the page that are yet to come live so hopefully we will have the WP/CP times - the first after 15km!

No penalties there... 7:50 AM is the start for the SS1 (selective stage). 5:10 AM is the roll out from the bivouac.... Garf is on it 100% The ASO did not have the depart time on the matrix when I was mocking up the main OFF%ICIAL COVERAGE thread...

local time in Beunos Aires is now; :deal

    Local time in Chile and Argentina <IFRAME height=18 src="http://free.timeanddate.com/clock/i3fyrrzo/n51" frameBorder=0 width=82></IFRAME>

f5irehose goes live at 07:50 Argentine time....

Nerves, doubts, excitement... A whole crap load of different emotions zipping through a bunch of brains down in BA this morning. Dreams realized, dreams crushed. Nothing like it :pynd

Hope they all have a safe race. For me its coffee then off to the firehose :clap

Just seen this on Facebook - Frans Vehoven showboating in grand style - you've got to have talent to get away with that in front of a million people!

My guess is around the 2 1/2 hr mark - tight tracks, dust and little overtaking opportunities - I suspect they will bunch up and finish close to reverse order on time with a few of the quick boys lower down such as Jeremias and Toby P in the mix.:1drink
