ThumperBee and I had a great time in Dawson and it was good to see everyone again and make some new friends (Kiwi Don, in particular). Kathleen really enjoyed the ride on her new F650GS (60+ mpg)...right up until the last leg of the trip on Monday, which was a VERY wet ride from Tok to Eagle River....300 miles in the rain. She rode without complaint, as you would expect from a Gruver! For myself....well, it's not as much fun DRIVING to Dawson as riding to Dawson (damn bad back), but I enjoyed some good tunes and stayed dry in the cage. I jumped out of the car at every stop for road construction and pilot cars to give ThumperBee's helmet visor a good cleaning and wipe down. She said it felt like she was the driver of an Indy car making a pit stop! :rofl

Pterror in Ten Sleep happens on 8/1/8
I would not be late for this required Team Pterodactyl meeting.

My GPS was set for the wrong datum set, so I was trying to get the the imaginary spot on the other side of the river. Bright green indicates where the '08 GS, went extra credit off road. I found some shine shacks out there! It was fun though. Great way to break in a new clutch?

That would've been a serious water crossing. The steep part just before you get to it would've been good for a Dick Buck but nobody takes those. :1drink
