Rudy’s doesn’t hold a candle to this place. Fingers were made before forks.

AEC4B599-DEF3-479F-9B75-0B2BD3D46448.jpeg In 2004, a couple friends and I on a bike trip stopped at a steak place near SoCal. Didn’t have a steak as it was too early in the day for me. Never knew the spot we stopped but my bud said it was an old haunt. 15 years later a new young friend and I figured out where it might have been. He lives in Arroyo Grande with his new bride. Well, the boss and I headed south a few weeks ago to visit and head to Nipomo and the famous “JOCKO’s” steak house. I highly recommend, but get reservations. At 4:30 in afternoon, it was packed. This is the small filet. :imaposer

The burger was as good as it looks. He talked me into a milkshake afterwards, that was out of this world.

Hopefully it was an off night so the wait was short.

I did the ride with my girlfriend. She called our order in before we started. I neglected to tell her that Nashville and Raleigh are in different time zones, so it came to pass that we got there an hour before our food was going to be ready. She is cute and has people skills, so I sent her in alone to fix the problem. That worked well. :)

I spent the day fishing in Seward, AK. When I was done, the captain took one of the rock fish, filleted it, and put it into a Cheetoes bag we had emptied. He told me to take it down the street to the Apollo Restaurant, and they would cook it for me. I'd never walked into a restaurant with my own food before, but they didn't think it odd at all. They turned it into a delicious dinner. But oh, I was so tired by the time I was finished.

looks good. I have finally bought new grill and now I can say that nothing could be better homemade grilled meat with vegs. I just tried new recipe with bbq sauce. So tasty! I found reviews about best covers for grill at https://cozyhousetoday.com/best-cover-for-weber-spirit-e310/ and want to order one for home use.
