I've never saw a beet served with a hamburger. I myself personally don't care for beets but my mother sure did love them!
Countryside Restaurant in Vonore,TN. Country fried steak n gravy with mashed potatoes n gravy.

Road food.........a Xmas story!
Each year my partner @The Apprentice and I head off over the Xmas break ,here in Australia, and tour around
Last year,2018, we booked a cottage for 5 days around 700ks away,we planned not to move once ensconced, so we had to take all our food, including Xmas day lunch!
So with panniers bulging with food and booze,heres what we knocked up over the break,ALL this was packed in on the DR's!!
breakfast,smoked salmon and eggs
The big one Xmas dinner ,it was superb!!
Desert merangue,cream and strawberries
It was a great break,off to Hong Kong,Japan and the Philippines this year!!

Wow! I usually just pack in beer, cheese, crackers and jerky. You don't happen to be looking for another riding partner to feed, are you? If so, I AM ALL IN!

We went on a Christmas Eve ride yesterday and most everything was closed so we just took along a little something to eat at Elrod Falls in Hancock County,TN. I decided on tuna salad n crackers.
Tommy's Grill on Grove in Loudon,Tn. Thursday Special meatloaf, mashed potatoes n gravy,green beans with roll.
Ribs using a pressure cooker...
I was “on the road” when these were served, so it qualifies!

Cheese, raw onion, crackers.
No mention of cold beer? Bonus points for that.
