1971 or 2 Northern Lower Michigan (Mio).
Probably 1976 in Mio, Michigan with my little brother on the back--these were great, happy times.
The oldest I could find, CX500T, will have to get serious and find something older.
My daughter, Halloween, 1997:
1968 giving my brother a ride on my new bike, a Honda Super Hawk 305...gees, 51 years ago.
Guys who give the finger in the 9th class picture usually go on to be trouble makers... bike pictures from 12th grade, Phil on his 69 Yamaha AT1 125 Enduro, me on my 69 Honda CL450....I got good at doing wheelies
Yep, by 12th grade I had that wheelie thing down. Last day of school, high school parking lot...At least I was wearing a helmet which became law in PA around 1968/69. This was June of 1970.
Now it's 2019 and time to do another update on this 1972 photo showing my 69 Suzuki TC120 and my 69 Honda CL450... I still have them, just lost the hair.
That's really cool!
Ok, W T F?
That . . . . my friend . . . . is how you ride a deer out of the woods and back to camp. After gutting, you split the rib cage to the neck, slide your carcass over the bike like it's doing the riding, then jump on it's back and motor your way home.
If you hunt in the mountains, and you've drug deer and elk for miles back to a road your truck can access .... only then will you understand the wisdom of such technique.
It's VERY surprising for me to see this pic here because I did the same thing, many times, on the same bike (mine was yellow). In fact, there were several times that I would happen upon hunters in Idaho that paid me to get their deer back to their camp for them.
Love it. Maybe we will meet next summer over at the Flathead. I ride a 2001 Dakar so probably won't be able to keep up but there are a lot of nice rides over there. Then when we have had enough of that it will be time to take the Jet Boat out on the water. Like you, I am closed down for the winter.
BSA of indeterminate age. Single triumph carb epoxied to a two way intake manifold. Ran long enough to get a ticket.
My 3rd bike Honda S90 around 1971, no photos of my first 2 Honda S50 and S65. Then later on #323 at Barbers Vintage weekend a few years ago. Now in my 60's and still racing MX which is really fun, but man this old Honda 90 was also a lot of fun...…..
Ah here is the photo from Barbers Vintage weekend that I thought attached to the earlier post!!!
