@Steadwood , you remind me of Jonny Ramone in that epic pic!
That fairing is wild, what's the story with it?
Any more pictures of the bike?
Back then, in the former GDR, there wasn't much choice of motorcycles. We built our own stuff. Fairing self-made from glass fiber reinforced epoxy. Some experiments with colors too. Those were exciting times.
The left one was mine, without fairing and I tried a different tank.
My Dad on his 650 Norton in 1955.
That's really is cool, I can only imagine all the stories from living in that place in time. So different than today I'll bet.
Thanks for posting those.
HaHa Thank you ! The Ramones , that brings back memories . I think we all wanted to be a rock star back in those days .
2 oldest I have, me on my Kawasaki KE100 roughly around 1978 or 79. That little dual sport bike was unstoppable.
And me next to a nice K bike that I wish was was mine in 1985
Above, My wife on her Honda TL125 in 1975. She was 16. We got married 2 years later. Had many bikes consistently since then. Last week she insisted I buy a new one to cheer me up. Man did I hit the jack pot.
1971, Unloading our first real motorcycle a 1968 Moto Guzzi 125. Dad got it from a man at work for $100. Brother and I shared it. My stripe pants were groovin.
Below is a like bike for auction at Mid Ohio.
Great bike. It looks like you're unloading it from the back of a station wagon!
Earliest picture of me on a bike that I can find. I'd been riding for probably 5 years by this point in time
My brothers boy. His first pic on a motorcycle 18 years ago.
