    What an awesome thread - thank you for sharing. It's stories and pictures such as these that remind me of why I wanted to ride in the first place. They remind me of why I don't use a GPS or an I-whatever, and that the sound of the wind is better than the sound of any kind of a download. I guess for many, riding is about moving the soul around the planet. Thanks for the reminder.

    Thanks for your pictures. I really the pictures that show us when we were young and healthy. I find it amazing you kept that old bike all those years, but I can definitely understand it.

    I just went to show my father the old pictures and I see that many (most?) are now missing.
    Renamed? Moved? Lost?
    I hope they can be recovered as they are too good to lose!
    My father rode a 1948 hard tail Matchless 500 that was bored and stroked to 600cc.

    It was a "scrambler" :rofl
