Just got back from a 1 month vacation... Just kidding! I was at banned camp.

I had so much time on my hands now that I couldn't get on ADV. I started thinking about what I could do.

I really like the Honda X-ADV. I really, really like it. But Honda USA isn't playing nice.

I contacted Honda Mexico but they're not importing it. I started looking at used bike ads in Europe, more specifically France and France has many used X-ADV for sale. It's a popular bike over there so the used market is already burgeoning with them.

I got in touch with a French dealer and it looked promising until 1. it won't clear customs in the US and 2. I can't seem to get insurance for it. Insurance is necessary for me to get the title.

So in spite of finding transportation and having the funds, I won't be able to make this one happen.

But wait! Honda Colombia will be selling the X-ADV. Really? Awesome!
So, can I register the bike in Colombia? Yes.
    In my name? Yes.
Will I be able to cross borders with a Colombian plate? Yes.
When is the X-ADV coming out? May. May? Wow! I can take off for a few weeks in the summer and go get one.
How much? Sorry, sir, they are all pre-sold.

So when is the updated PCX coming out? Sigh.

You can thank DOT and the EPA for not being able to import something you want and should be able to have. I tried every possible way to import a brand new air cooled VW bug when they were still being made in Mexico. I had a way to get it across the border and into my garage. But that was as far as I could go. I could not register it or insure it legally, and fraud will get you a few years in Leavenworth.

After they're 25 years old you can bring most vehicles in without too much hassle; however best to work through an importer....Now ya have me wondering about those Brazillian & Mexican loaf (70's) VW Vans with the rabbit motors stuck on 'em...Saw what might have been one cruising around here, but that may have been a local conversion too, didn't get that close of a look.

I posted a picture of a girl's butt in a thong sitting on a motorcycle. I was warned that if I did it again, I would be permanently banned.

Anyway, the ADV police have been cracking down on (trivial?) things lately.

    Dat ass though :lol3

Yeah. They are getting a little strange. We lost Toxic Britney, and now Toxic over 40.
I wonder how long Girls and Bikes will last.
Is pretty on pedals still here? I haven't checked it out recently
There must be other sites that aren't as "prudish?".

I love it! Maybe register as that and you'll be able to get another couple of warnings under that alias.

They block you using through the IP address. Using a different login name doesn't work. I do like the sound of cabannedza :lol3

They are looking to make the site pay so things will look different. Bound to happen.

Dunno but the format change is supposed to bring advertisers and stuff. I’m not clear so I hunker down and hope we can continue to enjoy.
