Yeah will be interested in that one as I didn't do many miles with the higher c.r with the bings re installed to gauge gas mileage. My old carbs had been overhauled with all new bits.

    wot a knob I are

the brake light and rev counter weren’t going on the gspd cause I'd crimped the foot brake switch cable with the nut/washer holding the lower subframe bolt in and it had blown the fuse....

I didn't see this comment earlier - No idea, & I'll let you know once it's up & running...

BMW Bikes website specs have ground clearance at

    • R80 mono - 140mm
    • R80 G/S - 175mm
    • R100R - 200mm
    • R100GS - 200mm
    • Ural Gear Up - 175mm

BUT the R100GS clearance suffers because of the centre stand compared to the R80 G/S. The R100R should be marginally shorter than the R100GS because of smaller wheels & less travel. No idea how ground clearance is measured (ladden, weight of rider etc).

The sidecar will get at least 1" (25.4mm) more clearance with the bigger 18" wheel (up from 16"), but Gus will be down slightly because of the 18" front I am putting on. Dunno if the centrestand will stay (they are useful, even on sidecars)

    Little increments rule.

given your recently demonstrated inability to make good bike purchasing decisions I thought that you might be interested in this

Needs these to break up the black a bit & play to the Bumblebee colouring...

This is what I was doing today. Playing 'Where's Wally' in the Harley, Indian, & Metric cruiser crowd

The 'scrambler' is taking a while - household repairs (in the last week the water main has sprung a leak and the garage door committed harikari) and helping family there are bugger all hours being spent on it

Well obviously another airhead owner agreed as it appears to be gone gone gone

I wonder what it's origin was, a black GSPD converted to Bumble Bee or a GS Bumble bee with GSPD tank and a kick start added ?

The original bumblebee GS was a import ex Japan. Kickstart gearbox was an extra ex factory . It is now a proper PD.
