Slab and i will see you at the salt.
Saturday's gathering ..zowners rally no z outfits though
Only made it to Mt Ive.
Was good to be back riding again .
Mmmm. Been a while since lifting the tank.
Not too long now.
The tail light globes and rear brake light switch need replacing.
One of the carb caps also needs replacing. I can get aluminium replacements, which don't suffer from breaking the vacuum stubs.
It's got straight water in it, to find the leaks.
I have to wire up the headlights in the sidecar - ooh, more smokey fun.
It should run ok once the carbs are synched too.
I'm going to replace the brake hoses and give the calipers etc a good inspection, that will take the longest. Need to gather my shillings first. I hear Pirtech now do replacement hoses. To follow that bit up. Except getting it through the rego office, I suppose.
Slab and i heard you were a good samaritan on the way in to a bloke on a KLR that had an issue.
Bit of fun in QLD last weekend .
Yep,It was a bugger I was not able to sort out the trouble with his bike.He got his KLR sorted at Northern motorcycles on Tuesday. Hopefully he had a good, stress free , ride back to Tasmania.
Apparently he had a front blowout and totaled the KLR, he was okay though.
Here's a few ideas for you deviates who like a bit on the side...
For frustrated sidecar builders.
Those photos of your GSA, Andrew, have kicked me in the butt.
It's been a while, eh.
It has been a while Ray, that was a great trip. I wish I still had that sidecar.....still got the bike
I got the chain on mine today, proper coolant in, did a bit more wiring corrections and started it up. Pretty rough at first but it settled down to a nice idle, once I tweaked that adjuster and, the exhaust temps were within 10 deg of each other.
I'm being patient with it. No rush.
I'll put some more of Stephen's video's together. Just don't hold your breath.
Outfit Rally .......Strathmerton.
Is it supposed to be two wheel drive?
Or, have they just used the rear paralever swing arm assembly to make a massively strong leading link front end ??
Looks like the latter.
Carrying a spare final drive?
