There are trees should be able to find a hammock spot easy.
There are trees all around the campground. You can find a place to hang the hammock. Also I got a message form Donald yesterday. Gary with Vee Rubber will not be attending this year. So I don't think that tire sales will be available on site. Unless Donald has some in the trail office he is willing to part with.
Greasy, I might try and ride over to the Devils Den sometime Wednesday evening. Depends on what time I get there and how much needs to be done to check people in on Thursday. Looking forward to it!
Awesome - thanks. Hammock it is then. Looks like I'll need my tarp over the top though - good times!
It can rain in one vally and not in anoher. I don’t expect hard rain but few showers maybe.
@Bigfury is staying in town. We will probably be in around 2. Have no idea what our plan is for Wednesday. We will be in cabin c21.
guess we are trying to pre ride something and set up to take a group out friday or Saturday.
Bikes are loaded trailer is on. Fit to roll, shit after one more work day.
Fit to roll. Anyone riding in if you need me to put anything on the truck for you hit me up. Got a handle of bourbon to share.
I will have a number to share as well
I thought the bike was ready, LOL...
It’s a DR how unready can it be?
Found my shirt
Loaded up and headed out around 530 in the morning.
I didn’t think my new spring was going to be here in time but it shows that it’s coming tomorrow. I would like to have the proper preload and do some light off road. Right now I am over-sprung
Going to be a chilly start to the ride!!
Snow on the way in.
That was in Pound Virginia this morning. 31 and snowing
Saw your set up in town, knocked but no answer. We will probably come in for dinner tonight. Captain Chaos didn’t sleep last night, it’s like dealing with a wounded animal
i came to the wrong door. I was kinda indisposed when you knocked.
We are going to come down the hill shortly and git dinner.
Well, not the best forecast, but that is what adventures are made of! I camped in VA last weekend and froze my rear off. The forecasted low was 41F but it reached 25F both nights. Needless to say, I wish I had my winter bag! This time I will because I am cheating and trailering the bikes with a big SUV. This is my definition of luxury camping...bringing more than you will need!
Y'all need to be nice to my friend Scott because this is his first SPR. It will be my third so I am sure I will remember some of you. Scott and I will see ya tomorrow afternoon after a drive from Huntersville, NC!
