Total mileage to date for 2019 (updated as often as I remember)
Christmas is over, first one I ever got a ride in. Anxiously awaiting 2019 and the start of the Big Money Rally
I believe they pushed the start of the BMR for 2019 to February. I will also be doing it for the first time this year. I did the TOH last year and really enjoyed it, hoping to get more sites this year.
Yes you’re correct I think it’s now a February start date. Which means a better chance for us, in the cold Icy north, to be competitive
Happy New Year everyone. I’m slowly off and running.
Starting mileage on my GSA
Happy new year to you too. I started 19 off with 22 miles around town.
I've always envied people who could maintain an obsession for decades.
Unfortunately for me, I burn out.
I’m still here just away from the bikes at a work training.
Starting mileage on my road glide
I'm in! I am a Iron Butt Voyeur. Wait that didn't come out right...
The NPT is a fun way to see America, and rack up some miles. If I had to make a guess, they take ~15,000 miles to complete and you see some of our great Nation in the process. I still have to visit Maine to finish up my Gold this round.
Competitive rallying is addictive and can be pricey if you don't watch yourself. I dabbled in it for a couple years and then migrated over to the adventure touring side of the house.
The seat is the most important element of the big mile stuff(initially), and especially the pillion if you are dragging one along.
Glad to have you along.
Yeah I just got an RDL for my road glide and the RT I bought has a seth lamm saddle I’ll have to see how I like that.
I have already noticed the cost of rally’s adding up so this year will be a test run for me to see if I want to devote my bank account to it.
look foreword to hearing of your travels.
Last night was my Last ride for two week. Getting Lasik this afternoon. Rode in the slickest snow covered roads I have ever ridden on. Definitely and an experience.
Hang in there with me. I bet a guy at work I’d put more miles on my bike this winter then him on his sled. . .
I wanna know how you like that Laam seat
I will definitely let you know. I should be getting the bike in March. I have been an RDL guy since I bought my first custom seat so I’m interested to compare
