I have to agree my SM510R sucks offroad. Stiff suspension, high and close-spaced gearing, light flywheel, wide turning radius, touchy (for offroad) front brake...

It's not a bike I ride all the time, or on long rides, ever. Just a swift kick in the backside, when I'm up for that.

Today I crashed my supermoto twice (once on each side) on the way to work because I put Armor All on the tires and got overspray on the tread. Ugh, the stupidity.

The spray goes on a cloth, the cloth wipes the sidewall (only)...

I really hope you're being sarcastic. NEVER put anything on the tires even the sides! If you are serious. You should replace the tires. You will never be able to get it all off the tires. It soaks into the rubber and seeps out as the tires heat up. There forever on those tires.

Winter work on the SM LC4, swapping in a WP5060 instead of the WP4054. The 4054 was a bit tight right at the dust seals for my 120 tyre so out it comes. Quite like the look of the conventional fork setup.

You're not alone. I got a bit over zealous with penetrating oil on my bike.... Stood back to admire the gleam and protection - of the rear tyre. What a knuckle head! A good scrub with meths cleaned it up much to my amazement.

How dead is supermoto? AMA still has a small series but nothing around me. I really want to do short circuit track days but there is nothing around here. These bikes are so perfect for small tracks yet no tracks exist and no one rides these bikes anymore. So if you are in the southeast or midatlantic, what tracks are moto friendly? Atlanta motorsports park and Carolina motorsports park are the only two I know of. I asked the gopro motorplex north of Charlotte if they would rent out the track bikes and was given a stern "no".

Look into outdoor Gokart tracks. Here in Socal you can run with the big boy bikes on full tracks, or supermoto sessions on kart tracks. I normally just do the kart track since its 35$ a day with the membership, WAY cheaper than a normal trackday
