Picked up this pe 175 engine, he had said it was a 78 but from the engine # 212379 I think it's a 80. Will this flywheel swap in to the 79 175?

Finally got the flywheel off the parts engine, holy shit are those on there good. since I'm using the original coil and stator I would not need to adjust the timing would I ?
The red plastic on the flywheel has come off as well, I take it that that's not a big deal?

By now I figure no one looks at this thread anymore but in the case that someone does I got one last question. As I did not take apart this Motor the re assembly has been a bit tricky. From my manuals and parts manuals it shows a spacer and an oil cutting washer under my primary gear. I did not have either of those is my parts so I ordered the spacer n washer. My questions is do all pe 175 have this oil cutting washer against the bearing because the one I ordered is not a fit on the shaft. The spacer seems to fit nicely and with the primary gear on and gear under the clutch line up so the teeth are lapping 100%. Can anyone shed light on this situation thanks

A few photos of my 1980 PE 400 just finished (more of less). There are some details in the bike section of this forum (1980 Suzuki PE 400 resto/mod).

Im wondering about the red epoxy on the flywheel also. I have several 400 flywheels like that.

I just picked up a really nice 79 pe250. I don't think it needs one yet but can the crankshaft seals be replaced without splitting the cases on these?? also im looking for the wrench that hangs next to the headlight ?? anyone have one of those they would be willing to part with??

timymarum I ordered 2 new wrench sets from my suzuki dealer a few years back. They were for my 80 and 81 400s. Not sure if its the same for the 79 PEs.

    Can anyone tell
Me if the 78/79 pe 175 pistons are the same as the 80-84? I have been searching for a .5 oversized piston for way too long now.
