TN 30 and TN 315 are great roads. Try Flip-Flop Burgers just across the bridge from this pic for a great place to grab a bite with a superb view of the Hiawasee River. Good times.

Too nice outside today to not ride. Besides, after fitting my winter tires on the AT they needed a scrub-in.

Took this along Duncan Road which is about four miles NNE of Hartsville, TN.

Then there is this historical marker that I've never stopped to read. This time I turned around, read the sign, and then went down the side road to see the house.

And, Captain James Bradley's former house. While riding towards the house, I had to wonder if bricks were really used in this area at the time of construction. After seeing the house, it appeared original and in really good condition. There is work going on in the inside at this time.

Playing around on the street after a dirt breakfast at Loretta's fall trail ride. We found this gem, 438 off of 50 west of Centerville. It's a hoot of a run to Coble

Then, there is a tunnel over Pine Lick Road about six miles east of Red Boiling Springs.

And a view from within this tunnel.

Oh, and some not-so-wild life. :lol2 Notice the approaching cold front in the lower part of the sky.

The AT is different @OldTriumphRider. Most noticeably is the weight. I rode the 690ER last year mostly out west last year--that is why I bought it. Took the AT in some of the same dirt roads and Jeep trails (Alpine Loop). The AT did well; but, I did not go to Death Valley with the AT as I did with the 690ER. The DV adventure was put together with the intent of having the 690ER. So, that ride is done. The AT loaded with camping gear was ridden on some mountain roads that could have been troublesome. With the Shinko 804/805 tires, off-road was not good. After one adventure, I replaced with a rear Motoz Tractionator and a front Pirelli MT21. Life off pavement was really nice with those tires.

While the 690ER could scoot down a state road, the AT does it a little better. I had both bike geared down for those adventures out west.

Now the AT is back in OEM gearing and street tires. It will be a road bike out here in our area of TN, NC, VA, and GA.

If you have time, and are curious about my AT in the mountains, have a look here. It's a lot of pictures. Once you get through the most recent dozen, you'll be in the Rockies.
