I love to rides as much or more than the next guy but when I get hungry I always try to find a local meat and 3 to eat at. I don't waste any time and usually can get my meal served ,eaten and back on the road just about as fast as a fast food place and it is in most places tastes a whole lot better. Usually if the parking lot is full it's going to have great food.

I find I am a gas station chicken finger aficionado, lol! Sometimes (often) they are crap, but their are a few around the rural parts of the state that are quite good. Great for a quick meal on the go after filling up the tank. Some protein, a redbull to wash it down with, a full tank of gas, good for another couple hundred miles of exploring the back roads/off roads and trails of TN. For example, the gas station in Huntland, TN on hwy 64 has pretty good chicken fingers. The gas station on 64 outside of Pulaski, TN is darn good! The bp station on the eastern side of Centerville is not too bad either.

I rode over 1,500 miles all around Tennessee this summer. Beautiful, and actually looking for a house in the state. I usually only stop for gas and a quick bite to eat. I like to find the out of the way, mom and pop type of cafe to eat. Some of the best food and service. Well worth it.

I’ll have to pass on the gas station chicken tenders but finding a meat & three sounds like a good thread.
Tennessee Meat & Threes will be coming up the next time I get a photo of one, unless someone beats me to it. :lurk a quick search didn’t find one.
One that first came to mind is the Rose Garden, exit 273 and I40E. Another one is Nana’s in Nolensville.

It's a semi regular stop for me. Talked to a couple of guys on BMWs there about 2 weeks ago. Noticed the Mosko Moto tank bag on one of the bikes. Here's some other middle TN restaurants https://advrider.com/f/threads/middle-tn-diners-drive-ins-dives-and-inmates.597781/

A new thread is good with me. That one doesn't get a lot of traffic but that maybe just the nature of the thread but I always look for the meat/threes and other unusual places to eat like Swaney Swift's in Gallatin

    WANT!

I love this thread, it's fun to see other ADV guys posting photos of familiar riding areas. I'm not likely to be able to get a ride in before New Year's, but I suspect 2019 will be a year for many miles ridden within a couple hours of home. I'll have a ton more free time than I had, but rarely ever more than enough for a day trip all in one sitting....

A few pics (don't do justice) from a piece of land for sale overlooking the Rocky River, and you can hear the water which dumps into the Caney Fork.

If that darn road wasn't right in the yard,

If the driveway was about a 1/4 mile long from the road it would be perfect.

I am ready to move to a place further from 'civilization'.
Unfortunately, I still have to commute into Nashville for the foreseeable future, so I can't get more than an hour or so away....

Don't move southeast down I-24. That commute is the absolute worst. The other interstates leading in are somewhat more tolerable.
