Is it because of the Solstice?
That's a good looking Duc you got there!
2-2-2020 in the morning
Couple of hours before the Super Bowl, bikes were out in groves! I squeezed in a little over 200 miles
I got out for 54 miles of twisty tar today in Washington Co.
Got out Sunday for a ride with Comppro2k7. We found a new way up to this overlook in Cumberland county. The bike and quad (rider with no helmet of course) were there already. The 250X rider asks me if mine is a "250L" because his friend has one and said no way to get a L in there. They seem to go anywhere you point em.
Wife and I got out yesterday and road 441 and Foothills Parkway, then looped back up into GSMNP. Not great photos, but you get the idea. Was a great day for riding.
I've gotta start taking a few pictures. I rode 150 miles over here in West Tennessee Tuesday. It sure was windy in the flat lands, but the temperature and sunshine made up for it!
"The bridge to nowhere".. there's a annual ride every year to there.. I tagged along this year, great ride!
...this was about half of the attendees!
Please dont invite anyone else to this. The Sherriff almost shut it down it for being overcrowded. Usually, there's less than 100 bikes. This year had over 300. Mostly because of the mild temps. All those fair weather riders showed up. It was a cluster.
So your saying there was lots of Harley's.
Absolutely! There were about 5 non Harley bikes. One idiot made the ride on a 250cc China bike.. struggled to keep up with the pack (that was me!)..
Sorry, I didn't see this as an invitation any more than any post here.. I edited the date out of the original post. This ride is advertised on Bumpus's website, my guess as to why there were so many Harleys in attendance.
It's not your fault dp064. I didnt mean for it to sound that way. Just the overall disorganization of the whole event. When it first started, It was only meant for the Bumpas crew. Maybe 20 bikes max. Now it's just a hotmess. The location cant handle that many. The Cannon county Sherriff did a patrol through the bridge before the masses showed up. Gave a warning to keep the bridge passable to cars. We ablidged and assured him it would be. Just glad he didnt do a 2nd drive thru. There were several bikes dropped on the off camber turn and 1 crash on 145 going to Auburntown. Side note--- I am always appreciative of the local CMA chapter in the Boro for bringing hot coffee and tons of donuts. Also, i was one of the 5 non harleys there, riding the Tenere.
Can't believe there was so much disorganization with all the road captains in attendance.
Group rides =
Cumberland county, TN. Out for the day exploring with my favorite riding partner, my son Brad.
This is what it's all about! My son is 3 years old now, and loves riding around the property on his little 4 wheeler or with me on my dirtbike. I constantly find myself daydreaming about riding with him when he's older.
I really hope he'll be interested in it!
Caney Creek Rd Pickett County
The heavy rains Feb 6 did new damage to Cub Mtn (85) near Wilder.
This happened above the roadbed they’ve been working on since last springs damage.
I don’t see it opening in 2020
I was at the West Fork General Store a couple of weeks ago and some of the local people were talking saying it was suppose to reopen in March...so with the new damage, maybe March of 2021!!
