    [IMG][IMG] Stretching the legs.

[IMG] Saw a realty sign at this place while out riding. I bought it now I cant afford the bike i want. Th e fishing is unreal though,, so ill just ride the big red pig and take advil to curve the pain...

[IMG] I stopped and got this guy out of the road so he wouldnt get squished. I stop about 10 times a year and relocate turtles.

I'm trying to figure out what's sticking in end. Don't look like any choke I've ever seen. Nice turtle. Always put them across the road in the direction they are headed, or they'll just start over. even if the water is behind them. I always move them too, even the big snapping turtles. Once I stopped to move one(a big snapper) that a cop was afraid of, but at least she was directing traffic around it.

    Nice spread!

I usually leave turtles alone. You see a lot of them on the roads around here, but hardly ever see a squished one. They move slow and predictable enough that most people miss them. Now, squirrels, coons, possums, skunks, deer you see squished all over the place. Armadillos are making an appearance too. I've seen several over the last few years - all dead. Yet to see a live one. Living in a river bottom area with earthen levees all over the place, armadillos are not considered an asset.

nice pics in this thread. I am headed to Johnson City/Kingsport area in Oct. to have a look, to see if that's where I could retire. These pics are inspiring me that the area is very beautiful. Hopefully the people in the area are friendly and there are nice parks for us to take our dogs.

We did the same thing back in April in the Shenandoah Valley of VA and really like that area, and but TN is gonna get a look before we decide.
No income tax is a real bonus and when I was in the Newport area, the roads for motorcycling, we as good as it gets IMO.

What a nice road to ride on an early Sunday morning. TN-30 from Spencer to Etowah was part of my routing to some familiar locations in NC.
